US Delegation of Border Protection Agency of Washington Office with the head of delegation, Mr. Abdias Ortiz, Director of US Custom and Border Protection Europe Division, officially visited MIA Border Police of Georgia. Head of MIA Border Police, Major - General Nikoloz Sharadze and First Deputy, Colonel Gocha Janjgava hosted the guests.

Mr. Abdias Ortiz Director of US Custom and Border Protection Europe Division; Ana Peterson, the Representative of US Custom and Border Protection Agency; Garret Reinhart, the Representative of Field Operations Office of US Custom and Border Protection; Suraubh Bhatt, the Attache for Turkey and Caucasus Region, Karen Chaisson, the Regional Advisor of US Export Control and Related Border Security Assistance Program (EXBS) and Ekaterine Parghalava, Senior Coordinator of EXBS Program, attended the meeting.

During the meeting the parties discussed ongoing cooperation between the Border Agencies of two countries, future plans and defined the priorities of the support regarding the improvement of the capabilities of Rapid Response Main Division of MIA Border Police.

During the visit, the members of the delegation visited the Main Division of Rapid Response of MIA Border Police. The guests were introduced with the activities of the main division and it’s infrastructure.
