The MIA Border Police Aviation resumed regular flights from Alvani to Tusheti. The helicopter has already transported the first passengers to the village of Omalo.
The Border Police helicopter will fly regularly to Omalo and nearby villages to support the local population along with the Border Guards before the roads become operational.
The flights are carried out in full compliance with COVID regulations.
During the winter season, as a result of scheduling the regular flights in Tusheti, the number of local population has increased. The locals also have the opportunity to resume construction and repair works before the roads become operational, which significantly contributes to the development of local tourism.
