Director of the Coast Guard Department hosted the British Ambassador to Georgia at JMOC

Director of the MIA Border Police Coast Guard Department, CAPT Ramaz Papidze, hosted the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland H.E. Mark Clayton to the Joint Maritime Operations Centre (JMOC).

The parties reviewed the maritime cooperation between the two countries, as well as the ongoing and planned activities and projects. CAPT Ramaz Papidze provided the British Ambassador to Georgia with detailed information about the objectives and tasks of the JMOC. During the meeting, the importance of enhancing the existing cooperation was also discussed.

Georgian Coast Guard closely cooperates with the United Kingdom in terms of maritime security. British ships regularly visit Georgian territorial waters and conduct joint exercises to improve interaction between crews and develop Georgian Coast Guard capabilities.
