Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir at the Georgian Coast Guard Base

Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir, the Commandant of Turkish Coast Guard along with the delegation visited the Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia. The guests were hosted by the Head of the Border Agency Temur Kekelidze and the Director of the Coast Guard Department, Captain Temur Kvantaliani.
The sides discussed the plans regarded to technical provision of the patrol boats and staff trainings.
While in Poti, the Representatives of the Turkish Coast Guard visited the Joint Maritime Operations Center (JMOC) and the ship-building facility.
Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir also visited the Turkish ship "TCSG-95" docked in the Coast Guard Batumi Basin.
The "TCSG-95" entered the territorial waters of Georgia and participated in various maritime exercises with the patrol boat “Ochamchire” of the Georgian Coast Guard. The port visits are made within the strategic cooperation between the two countries and aim at strengthening the security in the Black Sea Region.
