Border Guards Briefed on Recommendations to prevent Possible Spread of COVID-19

The representatives from the Land Border Defense Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia were briefed on the additional recommendations for effective risk management in order to prevent the possible spread of the new corona virus (COVID-19).
Head of the Border Police, Mr.Kekelidze through VTC has briefed the border guards from the various field offices under the Land Border Defense Department on the actions and restrictive measures taken by the Georgian Government to manage the risks of spreading the virus. He also introduced them with special measures defined by the Border Agency in this regard.
Director of the Land Border Defense Department - Koka Melkadze held an informative meeting at the Kazbegi Division and called the border guards on highest mobilization and reminded them to follow the recommendations to prevent possible spread of the corona virus.
Within the meetings and in line with the National Center for Disease Control recommendations, the representatives from the MIA Health Service and the Border Police Medical-Insurance Service reminded the border guards of the special rules and hygiene recommendations to follow while fulfilling their duties.
The MIA Border Police of Georgia remains in contact with the National Center for Disease Control and regularly updates border guards on their recommendations.
