MoIA Border Police detains Three Foreign Citizens for Illegal Crossing of the State Border

The MoIA Border Policemen carried out operative-investigation measures and detained 4 citizens of the Republic of India on the charge of illegal crossing of the State border in groups.
The crime envisages imprisonment from 4 to 5 years.
The investigation established that the suspects crossed the State Border of Georgia illegally in groups without official border control from the Republic of Armenia to Georgia.
The investigation is ongoing into the above-mentioned fact according to the Criminal Code of Georgia, Article 344, Part II, Subparagraph A.
In 2020, the MIA Border Police of Georgia have charged 92 suspects on illegal crossing and attempted illegal crossing of the State Border. Namely, 35- citizens of the Republic of Turkey, 9 - of the Republic of India, 4 - of the Republic of Iran, 4 - of Palestine, 1 - of Morocco and 1- of Algeria.
