The employees of the Operative – investigative Department of MIA Border Police detained 3 citizens of the foreign countries, for the fact of illegal crossing of the State Border.
As a result of operational measures and investigative actions carried out by the Border Police Officers, it was determined, that 2 detainees, on the area of the responsibility of the Border Sectors: “Sarphi” and “Khikhadziri” of Batumi Division of the Border Police, avoiding the check point, through the so called “green zone”, implemented illegal crossing of the State Border from the Republic of Türkiye. Third detainee implemented illegal crossing of the State Border hiding in the truck.
The investigation is ongoing under the Article 344, which implies 5 years of the imprisonment.
Immigration procedures were carried out against one of the detainees, as a result of which he was expelled from the country.
