The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, with the Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection, Mikheil Sarjveladze, visited the site of the tragedy that took place near Gudauri, in 2022.
The ministers paid tribute to the memory of those who died in the line of duty and laid a wreath at the memorial.
The funeral service for the souls of those who tragically died during the rescue operation, was also attended by the Deputy Ministers of the Internal Affairs, heads of the various departments of the Ministry, representatives of the Ministry of Health, firefighters, Border Police pilots and family members of the Heroes.
The tragic incident occurred near Gudauri, on July 29, 2022, that claimed lives of 8 people on board, including - Pilots of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rescuers of the Emergency Situations Management Service and Doctors.
