The employees of the Operative – investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, detained 3 persons, for the facts of illegal crossing and the attempt of illegal crossing of the State Border.
As a result of operational measures and investigative actions carried out by the Border Police Officers, it was determined, that 2 detainees, avoiding the check point, on the area of the responsibility of the Border Sectors: “Kirnati” and “Sarphi” of Batumi Division of the Georgian Border Police, tried to implement illegal crossing in the Republic of Türkiye. Also, 1 detainee implemented illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia – Türkiye, on area of the responsibility of the Border Sector “Kirnati”.
The investigation is ongoing under the Article 19 – 344 and Article 344, Part I, which implies 5 years of the imprisonment.
