The employees of the Operative – investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained 2 persons on the area of the responsibility of the following Border Sectors of Akhaltsikhe Division: “Charali” and “Kartsakhi”.
As a result of operational measures and investigative actions carried out by the Border Police Officers, it was determined, that the detainees, avoiding the check point, implemented illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia – Türkiye.
The investigation is ongoing under the article 344, Part I, which implies five years of the imprisonment.
Immigration procedures were carried out against one of the detainees, as a result of which he was expelled from the country.
