The officers of the Eastern Investigative Service of the Operative – investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained 3 persons for illegal, group, crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
As a result of the operational measures and investigative actions carried out by the Law Enforcement Officers, it was proved, that the detained persons, avoiding the Border Checkpoint “Matsimi” of Lagodekhi Division and Border Checkpoint “Vakhtangisi” of Red Bridge Division, illegally, on a foot, implemented illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia – Azerbaijan and entered Georgia.
The investigation is ongoing under the Article 344 which implies 5 years of the imprisonment.
Immigration procedures were carried out against 2 detained persons. According the result, they were deported from the country.
