The officers of the Western Investigative Service of the Operative – investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained 3 persons for illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
As a result of the operational measures and investigative actions carried out by the Law Enforcement Officers, it was proved, that the detained persons, avoiding the border checkpoint, illegally crossed the Georgian-Turkish State Border and entered Georgia. One of the detainees is wanted by local law enforcement agencies in Türkiye.
The investigation is ongoing under the Article 344, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies the imprisonment up to 5 years.
