BORDER POLICE SEIZED LARGE AMOUNT OF DRUGS – ONE PERSON IS DETAINED

Officers of the Operational-Investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained a person for attempting to illegally purchase and store a large amount of drugs. Detained person has a criminal record.

The police detained the accused person near the Border Sector "Matsimi". As a result of the investigative measures, the Law Enforcement Officers, seized a large amount of dried "marijuana" packed in a polyethylene bag as evidence.

The investigation is going under the article 19 – 260, Part II, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code, which implies up to 8 years of the imprisonment.
