The First Deputy Head of the Georgian Border Police, Roland Kvatchadze, and the Director of the Coast Guard Department, Iuri Pirtskhalishvili, attended the International Defence Industry Exhibition (SAHA 2026) in the Republic of Türkiye.

At the exhibition, members of the Georgian delegation were acquainted with the achievements of the military industry of the Republic of Türkiye, including technologies in the field of the maritime security.

During the visit, representatives of the Georgian Border Police met with the Commander of the Marmara Sea and Straits Region of the Coast Guard of the Republic of Türkiye, Rear Admiral Serkan Tezel, where the parties discussed the importance of ongoing and planned activities within the framework of the existing cooperation. The support of the Turkish Coast Guard in the areas of the personnel training and maintaining the technical readiness of the fleet, was emphasized during the meeting.

The First Deputy Head of the Border Police expressed the gratitude towards the Turkish colleagues for the fruitful cooperation.
