First Deputy Head of the Border Police of Georgia Roland Kvatchadze, with the heads of the Structural Units of the Border Police, met with the Scientific Director of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Georgia, Thomas Musich and also, with the representatives of the same Institute.

During the meeting, attention was paid to the issues of antimicrobial resistance, the challenges arising from it, and the importance of preventive measures. The parties discussed about the perspectives for sharing experience and raising awareness in this area.

Roland Kvatchadze expressed the gratitude towards the representatives of the Scientific-research Institute for their cooperation and sharing of experience, noting that such partnership is important for strengthening security, biosecurity, and professional capabilities.

The above - mentioned Research Institute is a Biomedical Research Center, included in the US Defence System, which actively cooperates with the Canine Department of the Georgian Border Police on the basis of a signed memorandum.
