BORDER POLICE DETAINED 4 PERSONS FOR ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE BORDER

The employees of Operative – investigative Department of MIA Border Police detained 4 persons for illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.

As a result of operative and investigative actions conducted by the Law Enforcement Officers, it was determined that the detained persons illegally crossed the State Border of Georgia – Türkiye and entered Georgia avoiding the border checkpoint, hiding in a trailer, and also on foot.

After completing immigration procedures, 3 defendants have been deported from the country, while the fourth is being investigated under Article 344, Part 1, of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies 5 years of the imprisonment.
