BORDER POLICE DETAINED 4 PERSONS FOR ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE BORDER
The employees of Operative – investigative Department of MIA Border Police detained 4 persons for illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
The Head of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, David Tamazashvili, held a working meeting with the Director of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) at the United States Embassy in Georgia, Ms. Jamie Shufflebarger.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current and future cooperation between Georgia and the United States in the field of border protection. The Head of the Border Police presented the agency’s strategic priorities and outlined its future development plans.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of the Border Police expressed his gratitude to the guests for their active support in strengthening the capabilities of the Border Police.
The Border Police of Georgia under the Ministry of Internal Affairs has enjoyed long-standing and productive cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), which constitutes a significant pillar of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
