BORDER POLICE DETAINED 4 PERSONS FOR ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE BORDER
The employees of Operative – investigative Department of MIA Border Police detained 4 persons for illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia.
20 Border Guards of the Georgian Border Police have completed the “Professional Educational Program for Retraining the Heads and Deputy Heads of the Border Sectors”.
The training course was held at the Public Security and Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The 7-week training program included the following topics: legal training, security issues, firearms training, first aid, topography, as well as operational-investigative and other important components related to the protection of the state border.
The First Deputy Head of the Border Police, Colonel Giorgi Gureshidze congratulated the Heads and Deputy Heads of the Border Sectors with the completion of the program:
“Border Guards, congratulations on the successful completion of this very important course. You, the leaders of the border sectors, are the backbone of the Georgian Border Police. Therefore, your every step and decision must be reliable, focused on the law, ethics, dedication to the homeland and profession. You are the people who, day and night, protect our country”.
The First Deputy Head of the Border Police presented the graduates with the relevant certificates and awarded three outstanding Border Guards. The course completion event was attended by the Head of the Department of Special Professional Training of the Public Security and Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Grigol Vashakmadze and the heads of the structural units of the Border Police.
