BORDER POLICE DETAINED 2 PERSONS FOR SMUGGLING OF MIGRANT AND ILLEGAL CROSSING OF THE STATE BORDER

The employees of MIA Border Police, with the employees of the Patrol Police Department and the Customs Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, on the State Border, detained 2 persons, for smuggling of the migrant and illegal crossing of the State Border.

The investigation revealed, that the citizen of the Republic of Türkiye (O.B. Born in 1993), through a hiding place arranged in his truck trailer, avoiding the check point of “Sarphi”, from the Republic of Türkiye smuggled the migrant, the citizen of Türkiye (I.A. Born in 1999).

The investigation is ongoing under the article 344 and article 344 Prima of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies 5 years of imprisonment.
