Members of the Law Enforcement Tactical Team of the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Border Police will participate in the NATO led Maritime Security Operation “Sea Guardian”.

It is noteworthy, that the members of the Coast Guard Tactical Group will be involved in Operation "Sea Guardian" for the first time in the Republic of Türkiye. In the previous years, representatives of the Georgian Coast Guard have also carried out this mission hosted by the Republic of Greece.

The Deputy Head of the Border Police, Davit Bitskinashvili bid farewell to the officers at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport. He wished the group members success and once again noted that the Georgian unit is participating, for the fourth time as an Operational Partner, in a Maritime Security Operation conducted under the auspices of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The group members were also bid farewell and wished for a successful mission by the Director of the Coast Guard Department of the Border Police, Captain I Rank Iuri Pirtskhalaishvili, representatives of the International Relations Division and the Deputy Head of the Core Team of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package, Navy Captain Kobak Meric.
