Georgian and Turkish Coast Guard vessels conduct Combined Maritime Exercises in the Black Sea

Within the bilateral cooperation, the Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia and the Coast Guard Service of the MIA of the Republic of Turkey conducted joint maritime trainings.
The Turkish Coast Guard Vessel TCSG-307 made a port visit to Batumi, when Georgian Coast Guard vessel Dioskuria visited Samsun.
Within the visits, the Georgian and Turkish Coast Guard vessels conducted joint maritime exercises in the Black Sea, near Batumi and Samsun.
The exercises envisaged joint maritime tactical maneuvers, including vessel survey and boarding drills, operation "Off the Board" and evacuation of an injured person.
The combined maritime exercise training aimed to enhance interoperability between the Coast Guard forces of Georgia and the Republic of Turkey.
