Commander Boudewijn Boots visited the MIA Coast Guard Department

Commander of SNMG2, Commander Boudewijn Boots along with the delegation visited the Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia. The guests were hosted by the Director of the MIA Coast Guard Department, Captain Temur Kvantaliani.

The meeting was attended by the captains from the Group, the representatives from the embassy of Poland, NATO Liaison Office, as well as the Georgian Coast Guard.

The sides outlined the importance of the visit, discussed the scheduled projects and Passing Exercises.

Joint maritime training of the vessels of Standing NATO MARITIME GROUP TWO and the Georgian Coast Guard Department are scheduled for April 4. The aim of set of exercises is to enhance interoperability between the maritime forces of Georgia, Allied and Partner countries.
