The Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia and the patrol boat

The exercise sought to build combined capability and capacity to ensure maritime regional security and foster stronger friendships among partnering nations.  21 representatives from the MIA Border Police Coast Guard Department took part in the maritime exercise with land, air, and sea components.  3 of them were coordinating, managing and controlling the vessels from the administrative headquarters. The patrol boat "Ochamchire" joined the training for the first time.

SB19 was co-hosted by the United States and Ukraine to enhance interoperability and capabilities among participating forces.

The participating nations in SB19 included: Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Sea Breeze 2017 is an annual recurring multinational exercise since 1997. The Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia has been its participant since 2009.
