RoAid donated diving equipment for the Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia

Romania’s International Development Cooperation Agency (RoAid) has donated diving equipment for the Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia.

The delegation led by Mr. Kathalin Konstantin Harnagea,  RoAid General Manager was received by Head of the Border Police of Georgia Mr. Teimuraz Kekelidze alongside the Director of the Coast Guard Department CAPT. Ramaz Papidze.

The sides discussed the Black Sea security issues, the ongoing projects and touched upon future cooperation development. Mr. Kekelidze expressed his appreciation towards the Agency for the assistance in upgrading the Coast Guard equipment.

By the end of the meeting Mr.Kekelidze and Mr. Harnagea signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the RoAid Agency and the MIA Border Police of Georgia. The Memorandum covers a period of 3 years and underlines the parties’ commitment to implement the project on the NATO Package for Georgia.

The project on implementing the NATO Package for Georgia contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, justice and strong institutions.
