Georgian Coast Guard participated in Maritime Exercise Breeze 2020

The Coast Guard Department under the MIA Border Police of Georgia participated in the 10 day-exercise Breeze 2020 at the Black Sea. The Coast Guard patrol boat Dioskuria (P25) joined the maritime trainings.
Breeze 2020 is an annual exercise held in the Black Sea and hosted by Bulgaria. The exercise focused to enhance readiness, improve collaboration, and interoperability among participating nations.
Breeze 2020 involved more than 2500 personnel, 27 vessels and 9 aircrafts from 10 nations. NATO Standing Maritime Group 2 and NATO Standing Maritime Counter Measures Group 2 also operated alongside all participating nations in the Black Sea.
This is the first time that Coast Guard Department under the MIA Border Police of Georgia has participated in annual Breeze 2020.
The Coast Guard patrol boat Dioskuria (P25) has already moved to Ukraine to participate in exercise Sea Breeze 2020. The official opening ceremony was held yesterday. Sea Breeze 2020 is scheduled through July 26.
